Boost Terms & Conditions

These terms don't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including a refund for a major failure.

1. Boost Packages & Pricing

Guthi offers three boost tiers for listings (jobs, housing, items and services), businesses and events:

Basic Boost: 10 days of increased visibility and search priority, A$19.99
Premium Boost: 14 days with top placement, analytics, and social sharing, A$24.99
Featured Listing: 30 days with maximum exposure, featured badge, and homepage placement, A$49.99

Prices are in AUD and include 10% GST. There is no platform fee on boosts.

An event boost ends when your event ends; you see the number of days before you pay.

Payment processing fees (Stripe) are absorbed by Guthi and not charged to the customer.

2. Switching Boost Types

2.1 Upgrading

You may upgrade your boost at any time. When upgrading:

The remaining value of your current boost is calculated on a prorated daily basis
You pay only the difference between the new package price and your remaining credit
Your new boost starts immediately with a fresh full duration of the new tier
You will be prompted to enter your payment details to complete the upgrade

2.2 Downgrading

You may downgrade your boost at any time. When downgrading:

Your boost switches immediately to the lower tier
You keep only the remaining days from your current boost — no fresh duration is added
No refund is provided for the price difference between tiers
No additional payment is required

3. Cancellation & Refunds

3.1 Cancellation

You may request cancellation of an active boost at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately and your listing will lose its boosted status.

3.2 Refund Process

Refunds are not automatic — cancellation triggers a refund request to our admin team
Refund amounts are calculated on a prorated daily basis for remaining unused days
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days after admin approval
Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Contact support about a refund

3.3 No Fee on Refunds

Nothing is deducted from a refund. The refund amount is shown before you confirm a cancellation.

3.4 App Store and Google Play Purchases

A boost bought in the Guthi app through the App Store or Google Play is refunded by Apple or Google, not by Guthi. Ask them for a refund of the unused days.

4. Boost Duration & Expiry

Boosts are activated immediately upon successful payment
Boost duration is measured in calendar days from the activation date
Expired boosts are automatically deactivated — no action required
You will receive a notification when your boost expires
Boost duration is not paused or extended when you edit or remove your listing yourself
If your listing would expire before its boost ends, it stays live until the boost ends
If you delete or archive a boosted listing, the boost ends and a refund of the unused days is requested for you

5. General Terms

Guthi may end a boost without a refund when Guthi removes content for breaking the rules (you can appeal)
Boosted listings must comply with all applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements
Boost visibility is not guaranteed — actual views depend on user search behavior and competition
Guthi may modify boost packages, pricing, and features with 14 days notice
All payments are processed securely through Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
